Changes To Immigration Rules – April 2024
The Immigration guides and reference works have been updated to reflect recent changes to the Immigration Rules:
- Health and care work visa holders can no longer bring dependents to the UK, and care employers must be registered with the Care Quality Commission.
- Minimum salary thresholds for skilled worker and family visa applicants have increased.
- The immigration health surcharge has increased.
- Civil penalties for employers of illegal workers have increased.
- The shortage occupation list has been overhauled and renamed the immigration salary list.
- Employers no longer need to renew sponsor licences.
We encourage immigration practitioners to take full advantage of the By Lawyers Immigration publication, which contains complete guides on general immigration law and appeals, and family, EU, and work visas. We welcome all comments and suggestions.
