Domestic Violence And Legal Aid

The Domestic Violence Orders publication has been expanded to include additional information about Legal Aid funding, some new precedent letters, and ready access to the Legal Aid Agency forms. 

The precedents will assist practitioners in applying for legal aid funding on behalf of the client, advising the client on the legal aid process and advising them on the funding available. The commentary covers:

• Evidence requirements in domestic violence matters;
• The means test;
• The merits test; 
• Applying for legal aid; and
• Submitting a claim to be paid.
